It’s about a Pilgrim

30 Jul

So, I guess I will talk about the book that I am currently reading, Timothy Findley’s book cover of 'PilgrimPilgrim.  I have read it before, but that was a few years ago, and to be honest my memory isn’t all that great; I do remember liking it.  This time around I am only about 100 pgs in, but so far so good.  The reference to Da Vinci helps make it intriguing for someone with an interest in art and art history.  A degree in the later is useful in following the references to the history in which Da Vinci lived.  Anyway I enjoy the poetic feel to the language which is of course the style of Findley’s writing, and there is a certain level of intelligence required of the reader, which always makes a book more interesting to me.  Once I’ve gotten a little farther through I will have more to say.

Try adding a video

30 Jul

Seeing as I discussed the fact that I am doing this for an Internet Marketing class, how about I let you see what we discussed today, other then blogs, that is.  We looked at this video featuring Malcolm Gladwell, who you may, or may not, find fimiliar as the author of The Tipping Point. A book that has been added to my ever growing list of “To Read’s”.  So here’s the video, if you like Pepsi, spagetti, and/or coffee you may find it interesting.

Hello world!

30 Jul

It’s about me.  I like books, I like to read, I like art, I paint and draw and create.  I’m studying graphic design.  I am a would-be philosopher.  Today in Internet Marketing class our task is to create a blog, so voila, here it is!  How easy it is for anyone, anywhere to put their verbal throw-up on a page and throw it out there for anyone else to read.  Hopefully I can find something at least as interesting to say as everyone else out there, however uninteresting that may be.
